Every Volty ID printer prints at 300 × 1200 DPI, supports 20–40 mil cards, runs at 23 seconds per full-color card (~150 color cards/hour) and 6 seconds per monochrome card (~600 cards/hour), and runs on Windows. All three include a 75-day software trial, 5-year Volty Protection (with free loaner), free 1-hour onboarding, and free ongoing support.
You can buy a different printer at any time. Your Volty ID software, account, and supplies will work with any of the three printers in the lineup. Many customers start with one VX300 at headquarters and add a second printer (or upgrade to a VX300 from a VX200) as their program grows.
It depends on the workflow at each location. Many customers run a VX300 at headquarters for the bulk of issuance and a VX100 at a satellite location for one-off prints. One software subscription covers up to 10 users across both printers, and the supplies, support, and protection are identical.
