Your printer comes with a starter kit in the box to get you printing. After that, ribbons and cards are sold separately: a color ribbon (VXr100 for VX100, VXr300 for VX200/VX300), blank CR-80 cards, and the VXCKIT cleaning kit for regular maintenance. Reorder ribbons and cards as you print.

Match the ribbon to the printer and the print volume. For color: VXr100 (100 prints, VX100) or VXr300 (300 prints, VX200/VX300). For monochrome black-only printing at lower cost: VXrK2000 (2,000 prints, fits all three printers). Most customers reorder color ribbons quarterly and keep a spare monochrome ribbon for high-volume runs.

Match to your print volume. We offer 100-pack ($19.99), 300-pack ($29.99), and 500-pack ($39.99) — best per-card value is the 500-pack. For organizations printing 50–100 badges a month, the 500-pack lasts 4–10 months.

Regular cleaning is the single most impactful thing you can do to protect your printhead and extend the life of your printer. The VXCKIT contains 5 swabs, 3 cloths, and 10 cleaning cards — months of preventive maintenance for $39. Replacing a damaged printhead costs $599, so the cleaning kit pays for itself many times over.
